Ickes' theories, if taken literally, are a little nutz. I'm not ready to buy the whole shapeshifting alien holygram virtual reality deal at this point. Granted, I haven't read alot of his material, so I could be missing something and , like you say, anything is possible. ;-)

However, if taken metaphorically, I think he's on the right track. I'm a big believer in the Illuminati conspiracy theories. The percentage of world leaders throughout history coming from the Illuminati/Free Mason/Skull & Bones stock is rediculous and can't be ignored.

Ever read Dr. John Coleman's 'Conspirators' Hierarchy'? (educate-yourself.org/cn/john...i.shtml) It's pretty scary when you consider the direction this society is moving.

Here's the alien/illuminatti theory I like: The aliens came here long ago, studied our ancestors, enhanced our DNA to increase our brain function, taught us farming, mining and architecture and worked with us to gather resources to fuel their utopian society. They colonized Atlantis and lived in harmony with us for centuries. However, they did not consider our mammalian instinctual need to be the 'alpha male' and the inevitable uprising that it would create. A small group of humans, the genisis of Illuminatti bloodlines, who worked closely with the aliens, formed a union, hatched a plan and destroyed Atlantis with the aliens own technology. The survivors fled the earth because, with their delicate stature and pacifist nature, they do not have the power nor the inclination to fight back. The Illuminatti then disbursed throughout the earth to begin their quest of global domination. They worked dilligently to erase any evidence of alien existence and continue to do so this very day. They need us to think that human race is the superior, most intellectually advanced species or nobody will follow the percieved "elite' of said race.

The aliens continue to watch over us and try to influence us but will not expose themselves directly to the masses for fear that we will attack, as is our nature.

Well, that's it in a nutshell. There's alot more to it, but it's late and I'm getting sleepy.

What do think? It's certainly a bit more feasible than Ickes' stories.
